She warns against being distracted by false teachings, sensational ideas, and what she calls "godless chatter," emphasizing the importance of staying anchored in God's Word. A faithful witness, she explains, is marked by kindness, patience, and a refusal to quarrel: "Silence and a kind word actually accomplishes more."

Even when dealing with difficult people, believers should remember that their witnessing may help others "come to their senses and escape" spiritual deception.

3. Be a Finisher

The final step is taking quitting off the table and becoming a finisher.

Pastor Rotola uses the example of contractors building her home, explaining that while many people can start a project, finishers are the ones who attend to the details and bring the work to completion. "The ones that I really, really, really liked were the finishers."

Drawing again from Paul's instructions to Timothy, she encourages believers to endure hardship, fulfill their calling, and complete the assignments God has given them.

Paul himself serves as the model. Despite persecution, imprisonment, abandonment, and the certainty of death, he remained faithful to the end because he trusted God's strength rather than his own.

The Soldier, Athlete, and Farmer

In her conclusion, Pastor Rotola reflects on Paul's comparison of disciples to soldiers, athletes, and farmers in 2 Timothy 2:4-6:
